Deep dive into the art of wheel throwing

This is a wonderful course designed for beginners. Over the course of six weeks you’ll gain a solid understanding of creating and finishing forms made on the wheel and develop the confidence to pursue independent practice with the skills you’ve learnt.

You’ll also explore decorative treatments with oxides and slips, as well as:

• Preparing clay

• Centering

• Pulling up and shaping

• Turning

• Decorative treatments

• Glazing

• Clay recycling

This course covers a range of basic forms such as tumblers, bowls and small vases. On the final night you’ll get to glaze your creations using our library of glazes.

As well as developing your awesome new skills and creating some beautiful pieces for home, you’ll make some amazing new pals over the six weeks.

Discover the world of hand built forms and sculpture!

Designed for beginners, this six-week course will give you a solid understanding of the fundamentals of hand building and the confidence to pursue independent practice with the skills you’ve learnt.

We’ll explore the three main methods of hand building including, coiling, slab rolling and pinching to create a range of forms such as mugs, vases, plates, sculpture and more! The list is endless!

At the end of the course you’ll get to finish your pieces with our library of glazes.
