8 Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing with Andrew Gibson | Tues Night 6th Oct – 24th Nov

Ready to take your throwing skills to the next level?
This course is designed for potters who have already completed a Beginners course at Stoker (or equivalent elsewhere) and are confident with the basics.
Led by Andrew Gibson of Gibson & Co Makers over the course of eight weeks you'll build on your existing skills to explore larger and more intricate forms.
We will also explore advanced techniques such as throwing off the hump and pulling handles.
With two glaze sessions built into the course, you'll get to glaze your creations part way through before continuing on to create and finish a second collection.
Week 1: Practice Throwing
Week 2: Throwing larger and more advanced forms
Week 3: Turning and throwing
Week 4: Turning & decorating
Week 5: First Glaze Session
Week 6: Turning and throwing
Week 7: Turning & decorating
Week 8: Final Glaze Session
What's included?
Clay, tools, glaze and firing.
What do I need to bring?
An apron and an old tee or towel. Short nails are also essential.
Do you offer make up sessions if I miss a class?
Please double check you can make all dates across the eight weeks as we're unable to offer make up classes.

Class sizes are strictly limited and for everyone's enjoyment you must be over 16 years to attend.
Up to 5.5kg of fired pieces included in course price. Anything above this weight concluding the course is charged at $14 per kg. Additional Clay is available for purchase during the course if needed.
